The pundit world is buzzing with stories and analysis on Joe Biden’s running mate, Kamala Harris.

There is a lot of talking going on in the political world. Every pundit has an opinion, or some analysis to offer. It seems the name Kamala Harris is hitting the news and social media every few seconds. Everyone is in a rush to give their pundit take before the competition. The opinions are all over the place.
Moreover, the pundits are joined by voters giving their views about what the choice means for Joe Biden, Democrats and voters. Voter opinions, like the professional pundits, are all over the place.
It is easy for a news consumer to become confused and overrun by Kamala fever.
Nobody really knows what impact, if any, the Kamala Harris choice will have on the 2020 election. People are really guessing. What is true, is we will not know what impact Harris has on the election until we see her and Biden in action. What Biden and Harris do or do not do in terms of messaging, campaigning, fundraising, targeting and getting out the vote will end up being the best indicators of the success of the Biden/Harris campaign. Finally, we will not be able to accurately gage that success until more time passes and we draw closer to the election.
Next, polling may help everyone get a feel for where things are headed if certain polling patterns develop. Polling this far out, however, is not a guaranteed predictor of what voters will do. Polling really matters in the three weeks before an election when voters start to make up their minds.
In the meantime, it may be fun for professional and amateurs to play the pundit for a bit. However, at this stage all of the “talk” is merely a guessing game with some of the guesses being more educated than others, but none of them telling us what happen-that will be determined by
Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and how they reach out, and motivate, voters…
And then there is the Trump factor, but that is a story for another day.

All the president is, is a glorified public relations man who spends his time flattering, kissing, and kicking people to get them to do what they are supposed to do anyway.
