Here is the Joe Biden campaign's position on door to door campaigning...
"Campaign door-knocking in a pandemic puts lives at risk and turns off voters. It’s also sort of useless. And anyone who said otherwise is needlessly panicking."(Politico)
Here is Joe Biden's campaign's new position on door to door campaigning...
"The campaign said volunteers would start door-knocking in Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire and Pennsylvania this weekend with the rest of the battleground states following early next week.
'We're now expanding on our strategy in a targeted way that puts the safety of communities first and foremost and helps us mobilize voters who are harder to reach by phone now that we're in the final stretch and now that Americans are fully dialed-in and ready to make their voices heard,' Biden campaign manager Jen O’Malley Dillon said in a statement." Three things worth noting:
Like Trump, for the sake of politics, the Biden campaign is willing to put its workers, and voters, at risk.
Second, now that Donald Trump has tested positive for Covid-19, exposed many others, and is subject to serious illness will the Biden campaign flip flop again?
Finally, does this flip flop indicate that internal Biden campaign polling shows the race in these key states is uncomfortably close or that Biden is losing ground?
